It is a delight to finally see our beautiful faces again now that our masks are off. The COVID-19 pandemic undoubtedly brought the world to its knees and the environmental, political, emotional and socio-economic dent it made continues to linger.
While COVID has had some positive impacts, such as the human connection it strengthened in the process of caring for one another, the many lives it has claimed through depression cannot be overemphasized.
In the wake of the pandemic, We Care International undertook an effort to respond to the impact of COVID on the mental health of people, especially the elderly within the communities. We adapted to a remote operation and produced a video to send words of love and encouragement to all. The video has healed many including Ms. Roopa (a 75 year old grandmother of 4) in her battle with depression during COVID.
As we continue to combat the ever mutating virus, in what seems to have come to stay for at least the foreseeable future, we hope this video heals you, whatever your predicament may be!
